Krispy Kreme officially launched in South Africa in 2015 with its first flagship store opening in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The brand entered the country through a partnership between Fournews and John & Lightning Investments, making South Africa the first African country to welcome the famous doughnut chain.
Krispy Kreme is best known around the world for its famous “Hot Light,” which turns on when fresh, warm doughnuts are being made in-store. Since launching in South Africa, the brand has expanded across major regions including Gauteng, the Western Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal.
